EDUCATION

  • M.A., Organizational Communication, Ball State University

  • B.A., Communication, Political Science, Northern State University

BACKGROUND

I joined the faculty at WLC in 2022. Prior to coming to WLC I worked in human resources and finance for 4 years. I believe it is important to give students an education rooted in practical applications of theoretical concepts. It is a blessing to prepare students at WLC for their future careers and to be lifelong learners.  Outside of WLC, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and spending time outdoors.

TEACHING

  • COM 201 - Foundations of Professional Communication
  • COM 291 - Argument and Debate
  • Com 301 - Professional Communication
  • Com 315 - Persuasion

RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am interested in mediated communication, especially on how different channels of communication affect the perception and response of a message. I am also interested in political communication, how it changes over time, and how different mediums cater to different audiences.
